The anime adaptation Chainsaw Man started to gain fans already before its release. The upcoming anime has been made by the director Ryu Nakayama and is based on the Japanese manga series penned and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first part of the manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen magazine Weekly Shonen Jump which began in December 2018 and went on till December 2020. The serialization of the second part started in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2022. There have been 11 tankobon volumes collected of the manga as of March 2021. The manga has now been adapted into an anime series that has been written by Hiroshi Seko and directed by Ryu Nakayama and Makoto Nakazono. Plot Summary of Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man revolves around an impoverished young guy Denji, who makes a contract with a dog-like devil named Pochita. Pochita fuses with Denji and grants him the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. Denji eventually becomes a part of the Public Safety Devil Hunters, which is a government agency focusing on fighting against the devils, whenever and wherever they are becoming a danger to the world.
The teenage boy who becomes a Devil hunter is able to pull a cord in his chest and transform into a Devil/Human hybrid and becomes armed with titular gardening tools. He gets quite a visceral kind of power.

Chainsaw Man Anime does not have a fully confirmed date of release yet but it will surely debut in October 2022 on Crunchyroll straightaway. The Chief Content Officer at Crunchyroll, Asa Suehira said:

The first PV of Chainsaw Man Anime was given by MAPPA last year during the 10th anniversary live stream of MAPPA. Since then, anime fans have been foreseeing the trailer of the series. Well, finally a trailer has been released by the Japanese studio after more than a year.
The official YouTube Channel of MAPPA has recently premiered the newest trailer of Chainsaw Man Anime. The second PV trailer shows us a pretty good look at some of the major characters like Denji, Power, Makima, and Aki Hayakawa. Every frame of the trailer is seeming incredible and it looks like MAPPA is going for a mix of both 2D and 3D animation of Chainsaw Man.
