Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be Released on Disney+ on This Date

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has played pretty well with our minds whether it’s about pre-release or post-release. The movie is hitting new records and setting standards at the box office and to your concern or not the run is going to be long as the premiere date for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney+ doesn’t seem near.

The sequel to Black Panther has kept a good run in theatres and fans are eager to watch it at home, with friends and family, and as Disney + is a mainstreamer for all the Marvel movies fans are on the fence to get a release date on the OTT platform. But the announcement that came around seems disappointing to many as it indicates that the Marvel movie won’t be on Disney + until 2023.

Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever itself is a great leap in the Marvel franchise as it marks the end of Phase 4 which started with Black Widow. The post-Endgame Phase has quite an effect on Marvel fans as the plot is surrounded around appealing storylines. While many were worried about the future of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever after the sudden death of Boseman Chadwick who played the main character of T’Challa aka Black Panther in the movie, the movie turned out well on itself. The plot makers added seemed flawless and the disturbance hasn’t been noticed in the flow too.

The movie throughout the year before its release faced many leaked attempts too and not to give spoilers we won’t state what has turned out to be true but you will miss a lot if you haven’t watched the Marvel movie yet. And if you will ask why the premiere for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is pushed back to 2023 then it’s highly anticipated that it is because of the blockbuster performance it has shown at the box office.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Disney+ Release: The Announcement

As the holiday approached, viewers were off the point that Marvel might allow the Black Panther sequel to premiere on Disney + in December itself as a Christmas gift as it did for the other MCU Movies released around the year-end time. But seems like Marvel has some different plan for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s Disney+ premier to gross the much bigger profit it can accumulate.

Recently Deadline came up with the news of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever being on a long run at the box office and being released on Disney+ after 2022 only. While dishing the chances of Black Panther being the Home release this Christmas by Marvel the tableau reported that-

“As we mentioned previously, a robust theatrical window is ahead, a bare minimum of 45 days, with no plans for the Ryan Coogler directed and written movie to land on Disney+ at the end of the year (ala Strange World).”

Disney+ Home Releases This Christmas

But is this Christmas going to be empty for Marvel lovers? Well, no, Disney has planned to put the animated movie Strange World on Disney+ for this holiday season. That seems quite reasonable as the animated movie has spent quite enough time in theatres and the genre usually doesn’t have a longer span on the bigger screen. Deadline reported the news as:

“While the exhibition has received word that Disney’s animated Thanksgiving release Strange World will hit Disney+ in time for the year-end holidays, there’s a robust theatrical window ahead for Wakanda Forever, definitely more than 45 days, I understand, with no plans for a holiday drop on the studio’s OTT service.”

So, at this family gathering, we might have fun with Strange World and not Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

And yes, if you think it’s too unfortunate, then European friends in France will be in worse conditions as due to the reported “current windowing framework” in the particular region the Movie won’t hit the Disney+ screen until Spring 2024.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever- Expected Release Date on Disney+

We know that until 2023 hits the calendar we are not going to have our hand on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but what’s the expected date?

Well, firstly Marvel will obviously see how much they can earn through theatrical runs before offering the movie for $8 per month. The movie has wonderful run till now and as the movie is getting old at the box office and as Avatar: The Way of Water released on 16th December, the grossing has gone down as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has competition now.

Also, the maximum window that any Marvel movie has kept between its theatrical and OTT release is 70 days which was followed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Adding the release of Avatar: The Way of Water to the mix, and this maximum window time, we can expect Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to be on streaming services On January 20, 2023, or around that time only.
